The weather in Kanazawa is fine but it is too cold and it is snowing abit.

Today, I went to an event called Kanazawa-shi Shobo-dezomeshiki, which means the New Year’s parade of the fire-fighters for Kanazawa city in english. It was held at Kenroku Garden, Kanazawa. Dezomeshiki is actually a fire fighting training  undertaken  by fire department and fire company personnel, which is generally conducted in the early part of January as the first training for the year. With historical roots, Dezomeshiki is held mainly to pray that no major fires occur in the year ahead.They were so many people came to watch this event since it is held only once every year and it is FREE!

The event started with parade and later they performed various acrobatics skills on top of bamboo ladders while the others were holding the bamboo ladders to support and avoid the ladders from collapsing. After that, they also did water discharge from the water cannon in a very unique outfit. Mindblown!

This is my first experience witnessing this event in Japan and i am super duper EXCITED to see all the fire fighters at the event because they looked super cool especially during the performance. Well, they are the heroes of the countries, and I love to see heroes.  I am amazed to see their acrobatic and other skills during the event. Eventhough it was held for just a very short period, I do enjoyed every second of it.
