Omi-cho Market
The lively scenes of the historical Omi-cho Market have been reconstructed in this 5-story modernistic building. Shops selling local ingredients are crammed along narrow streets on the ground floor, and the shouts of sellers hawking their goods gives the market its unique, vibrant atmosphere. On the first floor of the basement, you can find a bakery, take-out side dishes, a supermarket, and a drugstore. There is also a food court with tables where you can eat in. The second floor features a diverse array of restaurants where you can try dishes made using fresh local ingredients. On the third floor and above are various public facilities and offices. The Meitetsu M-Za department store is also connected to the market via an underground walkway, making it even more convenient to shop around.
